Hello, I’m Daniela!

I help Christian professionals and entrepreneurs to develop the character traits, the skills and the habits that help them thrive at work and at home, and realize God’s purpose for their lives.

I still remember how shocked I was when, in my early twenties, during a Bible study group discussion about confidence, the leader said: “Let's ask Daniela about confidence, because she is the most confident person here”.

Me, confident? Not really!

What people saw in me at the time was something else, not confidence – it was courage and a commitment to make a difference.

I don’t know exactly how it had all started, but I know that somewhere along the way, I had become tired of hiding myself, saying and doing what others wanted me to say and do.

One day, I decided I wanted to be free and brave, and rid myself of limiting beliefs and (self-)imposed burdens.

I decided to act despite my fears, self-doubts and my self-protection instincts. I decided to be who I was designed by God to be, and do what He wanted me to do.

The decision I made was to not spend any more time and energy on hiding myself and burying the gifts God entrusted me with, but rather invest them in showing up for myself and others, and courageously do my part for the common good. That’s what my Bible group leader took for confidence that day.

Confidence, for me, came later. It took studying the Bible closely with the intention of really getting to know the character of God, His unconditional love for me, and the new identity given to me in Jesus Christ.

I learned from my closed friends a lot about His love and they were the instruments God used to accept His love and to confirm my new identity.

In the process of this transformation, I have learned new competencies that help me do what I was called to do. I’ve learned to listen better, connect deeply and collaborate wisely.

I’ve learned to wholeheartedly give and receive: genuine words of affirmation, constructive feedback, care and help. I’ve also learned to ask for help, set boundaries, and have healthy conflicts.

Over the years, I realized that a lot of Christians around me, my clients included, are seeking the same things I had been yearning for: a firm foundation of confidence in God and in His calling; a character that is more Christ-like and in alignment with Christian virtues; skills and habits that reflect their Christian values.

“…I now experience more joy and confidence…”

Before coaching, I was struggling to communicate my own needs and desires, in my personal and professional relationships. I was often burnt out and having difficulty setting boundaries to keep enough margin in my life. Working with Daniela, I was able to establish that gaining a false sense of comfort through pleasing people wasn't actually a core value of mine. Newly empowered with a deeper view of honesty and authenticity, I'm now better equipped to set appropriate boundaries and express my own needs more easily. I feel like  a burden was taken on from my soul and I now experience more joy and confidence in connecting and collaborating with others.”

Education, certifications and my unique approach

Over the years, my interest in understanding human growth and encouraging it in myself and others led me to obtain my bachelor’s degrees in Social Work, Theology, and Psychology, and a master’s degree in Human Resources.

I am an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and I am also certified by The Institute for Social and Emotional Intelligence as a social and emotional intelligence coach.

At present, my clients are benefiting from everything I have learned through my own journey, training and professional experience:

  • Creating a non-judgmental space so people can reflect on their own thoughts and experiences, on who they are and who they want to be in the world; a place where they can be open, vulnerable and they can really express their desires, needs, fear and challenges.

  • Being really present, listening closely, and identifying dysfunctional thought patterns that keep people stuck, as well as resources and strengths that can be leveraged.

  • Asking questions that help people replace self-sabotage with a renewed mindset, rooted in God’s reality.

  • Blending a compassionate approach with challenging my clients to make the changes necessary for fulfilling their personal vision. I do believe that people grow and change their lives for the better with support and a bit of challenge.

More than my coaching skills, what my clients really appreciate is that I deeply care about their success — I’m going above and beyond because I really love people, I believe in them and in the coaching process; ultimately, I believe God has good plans for His children, “to give them a future and a hope”. (Jeremiah 29:11)

    On a personal note…

I was born and raised in Romania where I lived until I was 44 years old. At that age, I married the love of my life, Dave, and moved to the U.S.A.

Currently, we reside in Maryville, Tennessee.

I like walking, hiking, bird-watching, playing board games, cooking, baking and eating, especially while having nice conversations with family and friends.
